Kathryn & Erick / The Lockstone

I am so excited to add this beautiful wedding to my Blog. I always love the opportunity to photograph at a new location. Let me tell you the Lockstone did not disappoint. But I suppose we should start from the beginning. Kathryn and Ericks love story began back in High School when Katie was a Freshman and Erick was a Sophomore. Erick shared with me their proposal story which happened on a family trip to Hilton Head, a place that is special to Katie. While on the trip with their two sons, the family took a nice walk along the beach during sunset this provided Erick with the perfect opportunity. He handed his phone to their oldest son, who knew the proposal was going to happen, and asked him to take photo of the two of them. From there the two began to plan their special day .

Katie & Ericks Ceremony took place in the beautiful Forest Ceremony site located at Lockstone in Albion. The wooded area has the perfect grass pathways that lead to a beautiful opening full of vintage church pews for guests. Katie and Ericks ceremony was a beautiful intimate ceremony with their closest family and friends. It was a very hot afternoon full of sunshine. The perfect overcast came in just in time for the beginning of the ceremony which made for beautiful photos. Following their ceremony we took a short trip to a cute cobble stone road which provided a great backdrop for bridal photos.

The Lockstone is located right on the Erie Canal. The original stone barn that was built in the 1800's. The building has a unique charm including warm wood and rod iron accents and polished concrete floor which make for the perfect rustic vibe. I am so excited to share this wedding with you!
